The Dearing Concert Duo — six-time Detroit Music Award-winning voice, flute, and classical guitar — has performed at wedding ceremonies and receptions across metro Detroit and across Michigan since 1998. Based fifteen minutes from metro Detroit in Farmington Hills.
Wedding music for metro Detroit couples
If your wedding music brief includes the words "classical" and "not a string quartet," the Dearing Concert Duo is the ensemble for you. Voice, flute, and classical guitar — trained at Wayne State University and Oakland University, on the faculty of the University of Windsor School of Creative Arts for twenty-three years — with six Detroit Music Awards and four commercial recordings. Repertoire spans Renaissance lute song through 20th-century South American art music.
The duo is on the preferred-vendor lists at Meadow Brook Hall, The Henry Ford, and other major southeastern Michigan venues. Programs combine classical wedding standards with the duo's documented Iberian and South American specialty — useful for couples who want their ceremony music to be more than a string-quartet box-checking exercise.
