The Dearing Concert Duo’s wedding ceremony music is $575 for Metro Detroit locations. This includes consultation, learning custom songs, travel within Metro Detroit, setup, 20-30 minutes of prelude, all processionals, ceremony music, and recessional. Adding a cocktail hour or reception hour is $825 total ($250 additional).
How far do you travel for Michigan weddings?
We regularly perform throughout Metro Detroit, Ann Arbor, Flint, Lansing, and all of Southeast Michigan. We also travel to destinations like Traverse City, Grand Rapids, and the Upper Peninsula for weddings. Travel fees may apply for locations outside Metro Detroit.
What instruments do you play for Michigan weddings?
We offer classical guitar, soprano voice, and flute – three musicians for the price of two! You can choose all-instrumental (guitar and flute), vocal with guitar, or all three instruments for different parts of your ceremony and reception.
How early should I book musicians for my Michigan wedding?
We recommend booking 6-12 months in advance for peak wedding season (May-October) in Michigan. However, we often have availability for last-minute weddings. Contact us to check availability for your date.

Absolutely! We perform at outdoor Michigan weddings frequently. We bring professional amplification when needed and have contingency plans for weather. We recommend a covered area or tent for instrument protection.

Based in Farmington Hills, Michigan, the Dearing Concert Duo has been Southeast Michigan’s premier choice for wedding music since 1998. Our unique blend of classical guitar, soprano voice, and flute creates an elegant, sophisticated atmosphere that transforms ordinary weddings into extraordinary celebrations.
Both Steven and Abha bring decades of professional performance and teaching experience. Steven was an Adjunct Professor at the University of Windsor and has performed guitar concerti with orchestras throughout North America. Abha is an award-winning soprano who has performed on three continents and serves as Vocal Arts Director at Mercy High School.
